Nicki Butane

Nicki Butane is a lifelong poet, scenester and entrepreneur. He met his long-time songwriting partner, Robert Goldstein, when they were both looking to start a band that “didn’t sound like anyone else.”

That band, the Urban Verbs, recorded two LPs for Warner Brothers Records before disbanding. Flameproof Mascara is operating under the same principle; to be a band that doesn’t sound like anyone else.
